Fantastic Blue is a compilation of video selfies: people from all over the world film themselves wearing virtual masks created by the artist and made available on Instagram. The result is a community of people appropriating these fantasy-inspired masks in their own way. As each participant’s environment is often discernable in the background, the mask becomes a fictional filter superimposed over everyday life.
